Running some pent up energy out, ready for the weekend!
I can’t remember the last time I read a book since River was born. And here I am 365 pages deep…I lose myself in another world and then close it just in time for poo poo breaks and snack time. I must keep this going!
Can’t see my toes any longer! And this guy kisses my belly. I don’t give him enough credit…perhaps he really does know about his baby sis coming soon.
…and the baby name saga begins
River has been sick this week but in between his bouts of tired and irritability, he is so fun. This week everything is either ‘no’ or ‘o-tay’. I like ‘o-tay’ much better because he just agrees and pretty much moves on with his business. Oh and ‘no, i don’t want to’ really cracks me up. I am not the type to give in to that crap, so you can imagine the scenario. He has a newfound liking to our neighbors and always wants to talk to them, with hopes to see their dog Mr. Wilson. He calls them ‘neighbor’, not Michael or Janet…pretty funny. He has a hard time eating out because he just can’t sit still, I almost feel sorry for him. I can’t eat fast, never have been able to, and now prego, I eat super slow as not to fill up to much or I will re-eat the food later. So my slowness and his gobble-it-up-whole method are clashing big time. Ron even took him to the ‘bathroom’ last evening and popped his lil booty for throwing crayons and sugar packets at the elderly man behind him. Oops. I still think Dad is lying about popping his booty…he is such a lush for that boy. He had milkshakes with his nephews this week which just makes him so happy, those two. We are in the process of wanting to drop the side on his crib so he can start getting used to a big boy bed, but you know, I just like him being jailed in. It makes things easy on us and he loves his crib. He’s not once tried to climb out. He’s like a puppy in a kennel, it’s his special place. But we need the crib for baby soon, so we’ll see when we finally bite that bullet. He loves mowing the yard and fixing things. He wants outside before he even wakes up good in the morning. He loves digging for ‘wums’ but he doesn’t like touching them (yet). He is empathetic and loving. Dad has started messing with him a lot lately so to teach him not to take things too seriously. Dad is the king of bullshitting, and River already laughs. His clothes stay dirty, his little body smells like a dirty man’s at the end of the day since he plays so hard, but his blonde curls and sweet smile make up for all the sand in his crack and filthy fingernails.
It’s a Girl…on the way
First ultrasound yesterday revealed a ‘pa-gina’, as my nephew calls it. I knew it all along….
